How to Identify a Battery Pack Connector

Battery pack connectors appear in a variety of electronic toys, games, GPS units, and other devices. These connecting plugs are designed to connect the device to the battery pack power source in order to power up the unit. Battery pack connectors come in various shapes and colors but all share identifying characteristics.

  Open the battery panel on the device or electronic unit where you need to find the battery pack connector. Most connectors are found in the battery housing area, under a panel or door.

  Grab the wires in the battery pack housing area and gently straighten them out from the panel and device. Take care not pull them out form the device entirely as this will break the unit or device.
- 3
  Slide your fingers to the end of the wires and find the plug where the wires feed to. Look for either small holes in the rubber rectangular plug, or s single round barrel with a hole. These are battery pack connectors.
