ESPN GameStation Instructions

The ESPN GameStation is a freestanding sports structure for kids that allows six different games to be played. The games available are basketball, baseball, football, golf, soccer and hockey. Aside from just practicing shots and putts, the GameStation also features an adjustable difficulty level that imposes time and shot restrictions on the player. To use the ESPN GameStation, you will first need to prepare it for each specific sport.

Instructions

  1. Basketball, Baseball and Football Setup

    • 1

Grip the basketball hoop and pull downward to lower the rim into position if you are playing basketball. Otherwise leave the rim up against the backboard.

    • 2

Push both buttons on each side of the handle on the base of the GameStation inward. Pull up on the handle.

    • 3

Pull the handle toward your body and back away from the GameStation to extend the return chute.

    • 4

Fasten the five straps on each side of the chute to the netting on the sides of the GameStation.

    Golf, Soccer and Hockey Setup

    • 5

Leave the return chute in the folded position.

    • 6

Attach the large target bar to the groove in the center of the goal for hockey. The target will hang directly above the floor.

    • 7

Slide the target up and down the bar to adjust the height and left and right along the goal to adjust the position.

    • 8

Remove the target bar to use the goal for soccer.

    • 9

Insert the flag into the center cup in the goal for golf practice.

    Starting a Game

    • 10

Pick up the equipment for the sport you wish to play. For example, take the golf club and ball for a round of golf.

    • 11

Slide the switch on the back of the game selector box to "On."

    • 12

Move the "Game" switch on the front of the game selector box to "Beginner," "Advanced," "Intermediate"or "Pro." The "Advanced" option is not available for golf, soccer or hockey.

    • 13

Press and hold the button on the Game Selector box that corresponds with your chosen sport. Wait for the scoreboard to light up.

    • 14

Listen to the GameStation instructions and then begin the game. "Beginner" mode lets you practice with as many shots as you choose. "Advanced" mode imposes a time limit on your game, while "Intermediate" gives you a specific task such as pitching a "no-hitter" in baseball. "Pro" mode requires you to make ten shots in a row without missing.
