Schwinn S200 Scooter Specs

Best known for as a leading bicycle brand, Schwinn also produces a line of motor powered scooters and commuter style mini-bikes. The Schwin S200 is an electric stand-on scooter. The scooter is popular among college students and kids because it is an inexpensive, efficient commuter vehicle. The S200 model was sold new in 2006.
  1. Brake and Accelerator

    • The Schwinn S200 scooter has one hand brake, found on the left hand side of the handle bar. The throttle is a twist accelerator found on the right hand side of the handle bar. The S200 has a top speed of 12 mph. The speed is set at that limit with a governor device.

    Battery and Charger

    • Because the S200 is an electric scooter, users must recharge the battery holding cells. The S200 has a 24-volt battery pack housed under the foot board. An AC/DC adapter allows users to plug the S200 battery pack into a wall socket to recharge the deep cycle battery.

    Wheels and Board

    • Two tubeless tires are mounted under the S200's skateboard-style standing board. A Schraeder air nozzle allows the user to fill the tires at gas station air pumps. The tires are four-ply rubber and have a maximum PSI rating of 85.

The deck or foot-board is styled in the fashion of early, narrow skateboards.
