Things You'll Need
Instructions
Charge the battery for five hours before every use. This will ensure that the plane can fly for several hours before it will need an additional charge. If you visit a park to fly the plane all day, consider bringing two fully charged batteries for extended fun. Bring at least 16 AA batteries to power the remote controller. It uses eight batteries at a time.
Locate the transmitter switch in the bottom right corner of the controller. Make sure the transmitter switch is turned to "on" so that the controller and airplane can communicate. Check the "reverse" switches located on the bottom of the airplane. Switch these to your preferences. If you want the airplane to go left when you push the stick left and up when you press up, then do not switch the switches to reverse. Experiment with this setting to find the best fit for you.
Set the "elevator" and "rudder" switches to the center position. Depending on the amount of wind, you may have to adjust these to get the plane to fly properly. After the plane is in flight, adjust these as necessary to achieve a smooth flight.
Fly the plane during a light wind. If the ribbon on the end of the remote control flies straight out, it is too windy to fly.
Turn on the receiver on the bottom of the airplane. Always turn the controller on first and then the airplane.
Ask a helper to hold the body of the airplane as he faces the wind. Move the left control stick forward as far as it will go. Have the helper press the red motor button on the bottom of the plane. Tell the helper to tilt the airplane up 10 degrees. Have the helper thrust the airplane into the air.
Hold the left control stick forward until the airplane reaches 50 to 300 feet in the air. Steer the airplane by moving the control stick to the left or right. Adjusting the elevator and trim will make minor height and directional adjustments. The plane can fly for 20 or 30 minutes before the battery will require recharging.
Land the airplane by heading it into the wind. Move the left control stick to the center of the controller to slow the plane propeller. Move the right control stick to adjust the direction of the plane. Slow the airplane until it reaches the ground and stops. Turn off the airplane, then the transmitter.
