Instructions
Face Design
Place your deck face up on a sheet of sticker paper. Trace around the deck with a pen.
Color in a design on the sticker paper, using paint markers. You can also print a design on the paper with your computer or download and print pictures onto the paper.
Cut around the outline of the design on your sticker paper. Peel the backing off of the paper. Lay the sticker on the bottom face of the deck. Smooth out any air pockets.
Poke holes through the sticker paper with a pin, using the eight screw holes on the top face of the deck as a guide.
Grip Tape
Place the deck face up on the back of a sheet of grip tape. Trace around the deck with a pen, leaving about 1 inch of space between the deck and the outline.
Cut the grip tape around the line. Peel the backing off the grip tape. Lay the grip tape over the top face of the deck and smooth out any air pockets. The tape will spill over the sides of the deck.
Run a metal utensil over the perimeter of the deck until white line forms on the grip tape.
Cut the excess grip tape off of the deck with a utility knife. Use the white line as a guide.
Poke holes through the grip tape with a pin, using the eight holes on the bottom of the deck as a guide.
Trucks
Turn the deck so the grip tape is facing upward. Place a truck on the underside of the deck, with the four holes of the truck lining up with the four holes of the deck and the kingpin facing inward.
Insert and secure four Tech Deck screws through the holes on the top of the deck, securing the truck in place. Use the Tech Deck tool to tighten the screws. Repeat with the other truck.
Place the ratchet end of the Tech Deck tool over the nut on the kingpin of the truck. Rotate clockwise to tighten the trucks or counterclockwise to loosen the trucks according to your skate style.
Wheels
Slide a wheel over the axle on a Tech Deck truck. Place a Tech Deck nut on the other side of the wheel.
Insert and turn the ratchet end of the Tech Deck tool into the wheel where the nut is located. Rotate the tool clockwise to tighten the nut and secure the wheel in place.
Attach the remaining three wheels onto the axles of the trucks.
Tighten or loosen the wheels with the Tech Deck tool according to your skate style.
