Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn on your transmitter. This will ensure that the vehicle does not run away from you if it starts prematurely and begins to move. Check that you have fully charged batteries in both the receiver and the transmitter.
Fill your tank with fuel. Using your fuel bottle, fill your vehicle's fuel tank and securely close the fuel tank. Now block the exhaust pipe with your finger and pull the starter cord a couple of times. The engine will now spin (but not actually start) and the fuel pump will suck the fuel into the fuel line. Continue to pull the starter cord until fuel flows into the carburetor.
Attach the glow ignitor onto the glow plug. Hold the glow ignitor safely in place and pull the starter cord with short but swift motions. Depending on the state of the engine, it may start immediately or require several attempts. If you are unsuccessful after a few tries, ask a bystander to gently push the throttle lever on the transmitter while you are pulling the cord.
Once the engine is running, release the cord and slowly remove the glow ignitor. Apply gentle throttle to keep the engine running for the first minute or so, after which it will warm up sufficiently to run on its own without throttle application. If it stalls even after warm-up, raise the idle speed slightly.
