Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take the top off of a shirt box and place it on a flat surface so the top face is up.
Place a plastic cereal bowl, or another wide, shallow bowl, face down on the center of the box top. Trace around the bowl with a pen or marker. Remove the bowl from the box.
Measure ½ inch in from the circle and draw a second, smaller circle on the box.
Cut around the smaller circle with scissors or a utility knife. Remove and discard the circular piece of cardboard.
Measure around the circumference of the plastic bowl.
Draw a rectangle on the bottom part of the shirt box that measures 2 inches wide and the same length as the circumference of the bowl. For example, if the bowl has a circumference of 10 inches, then the rectangle will have a length of 10 inches.
Cut out the rectangle and fold it in half down the length of the cardboard. This will have the same length, but make the width of the rectangle 1 inch.
Bend both sides of the rectangle strip so that both ends touch and the strip resembles a ring.
Place the bowl face up into the hole in the center of the shirt box top. The bowl will protrude slightly from the top of the box.
Place the cardboard ring over the protruding part of the bowl. Secure the ring to the box and the bowl using several pieces of duct tape. This will create a lip around the Tech Deck bowl.
