Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place the deck face down on a sheet of grip tape. Trace around the deck with a pencil.
Cut out the traced shape from the grip tape with scissors. Remove the backing of the tape and place it on the top face of the deck. Smooth out the tape starting from the center of the deck and working out to the edges.
Run the dull end of a butter knife around the edge of the deck where there is any grip tape overhang. A white line will form around the tape.
Cut along the white line to remove the excess grip tape.
Push a pin through the eight holes on the bottom of the deck and through the grip tape.
Grip the deck in your left hand. Position the truck onto the bottom front of the deck. The four holes on the truck should line up with the four holes on the deck. The nut on the truck should face the center of the deck.
Press down on the truck with your thumb to keep it against the deck. Insert four screws into the hold on the top of the deck. Tighten the screws into the truck using the screwdriver side of the Tech Deck tool. Repeat on the opposite end of the deck with the second truck.
Place a wheel over the axle on one side of the truck. The large opening of the wheel will face outward.
Press the socket end of the Tech Deck tool onto a nut to pick it up. Press the tool onto the protruding axle and the wheel. Rotate the tool clockwise to tighten the nut onto the wheel. Spin the wheel and tighten or loosen the nut as needed.
Add the remaining three wheels to the other axles of the trucks.
Attach stickers to the bottom side of the deck to further customize the skateboard. Keep the stickers away from wheels to prevent stopping when you use the deck.
