How to Reload an Airsoft

Some older airsoft guns are powered by gas or pump-action, but most current airsoft guns are electronically powered. Airsoft guns range in size and style, but the reload mechanism remains much the same. All recently produced airsoft guns have clips that you pour the plastic BBs into for easy reloading and to enable a continuous stream of play. Multiple magazines may be purchased beyond the BB magazines that come with your airsoft gun, and are built for repetitive use.

Instructions

    • 1

Check the capacity on your BB magazine. It ranges from low- to high-capacity, and the correct amount of BBs needed will be specified in your directions.

    • 2

Open the BB well at the top of the airsoft magazine. Insert a funnel into the hole and pour the BBs into the funnel. Continue filling the airsoft magazine until BBs fill to top of the well. Tap the magazine against a solid surface to allow the BBs to settle. Examine the well to see whether tapping the magazine provided any extra room; if so, insert the funnel again and pour in more BBs.

    • 3

Tap the magazine. If the magazine is full, close the BB well. Wind the ratchet wheel at the bottom of the magazine for 30 to 45 seconds. When the wheel makes a different clicking noise, you are done prepping the magazine. Put your airsoft gun in "safe" mode by pushing the safety button. Insert the magazine into the BB intake on your airsoft gun.
