Online
Websites such as Amazon.com, ToyWiz, and Atamaii offer new and older Tech Decks in individual decks or packs of two, three or four. The sites also offer accessories such as wheels, tools, and skateparks. The advantage to shopping this way is it's possible to find older decks that may no longer be available in stores.
Stores
Tech Decks are available at most toy retailers such as Toys R Us and KB Toy Store as well as big box retailers such as Target, Wal-Mart, and Meijer. They are normally stocked near toy cars and trucks.
Custom
Most retailers sell complete Tech Decks as a unit, but you should be able to find decks, wheels, trucks, stickers and grip tape as separate items. Those items can then be combined to create a customized Tech Deck.
Accessories
Tech Deck skateparks which feature ramps, rails, and stairs to trick off of are also available. Tech Deck Dudes, miniature "skaters" who ride the decks, can be bought along with specialized decks for the Dudes. Handboards are another popular accessory. Tech Deck handboards are about three times the size of a standard Tech Deck and are controlled with your palm.
Pricing
As of May, 2010, the average price for a set of two Tech Decks is $7. These sets contain two decks with no other accessories. A single Tech Deck with an additional set of wheels and stickers averages $10. A set of four decks cost $12, and two decks and a small ramp were available for $13. If you trick hard and break decks often, the four pack deal is best for you. Someone new to the hobby should get one or two decks to train with before moving on to new decks.
