Use
Tech Deck skateboard parks are a miniature version of a real world skatepark. Just as a skateboarder would use rails, ramps and benches in his trick runs, Tech Deck users employ the same obstacles, but in a smaller size. For example, you can use the stairs to ollie down or the rails of the stairs for a grind. The Tech Deck skateboard park allows the same skating experience except you use your fingers instead of your feet.
Size
Tech Deck skateboard parks are designed to fit all standard, 3.5-inch Tech Decks. For example, the Del Mar Pool extends to 20 inches in length, 13 inches in width and 5 inches deep. Multiple Tech Decks can trick in the same pool at the same time. The skatepark size is also designed for Tech Decks to trick off of such as the 2-foot-long Mega Ramp, which gives the Tech Deck a chance to build up speed before entering a trick.
Benefits
Tech Deck skateboard parks are ideal for immediate use with your fingerboards. The parks are designed to work with your decks, meaning that each piece can withstand the force and friction of decks grinding along or flipped onto the surfaces. You can learn new tricks by using the different features of the skatepark while also working on your existing tricks with new obstacles.
Types
Tech Deck skateboard parks come in two types. The first type includes premade parks that feature several obstacles built into one structure. For example, the Sheckler Parks sets feature four small and two large structures. One of the small structures includes a quarter pipe, ramp, stairs and grind rail. These sets are complete on their own and can also be combined for larger parks. The second type of skate park is the Build-A-Park. This type features separate pieces such as one rail or one quarter pipe that are connected together to create a full park.
Custom Parks
While you can buy official Tech Deck skateboard parks and pieces, you can also create your own skateparks using household items. A community on YouTube is dedicated to creating and showing custom pieces. You can build a grind rail using craft sticks or a ramp with a piece of wood. You can build your own custom skatepark with pieces that may not be available as a pre-made piece.
