How to Make a Tech Deck Graphic

Making your own Tech Deck graphic is really easy. A Tech Deck is a small toy skateboard you can use with your fingers. You can play with it on a desk or a countertop. Most Tech Decks have graphics and there are a wide variety of different types. If you happen to get a Deck with no graphic design on it, don't worry because you can make your own custom graphic in a few steps.

Things You'll Need

Screwdriver
Sandpaper
Marker, pencil or stickers, or whatever you would like to make your graphic

Instructions

  Flip the deck over and remove the trucks. The trucks will be secured with two tiny screws.

  Scrape the design off the deck with sandpaper. Just gently rub the sandpaper back and forth across the deck and the image will start to fade away. You don't want to scrape too hard and put carve marks into the bottom of your deck, unless that's part of your new graphic design.

  Take a pencil or marker and draw your graphic onto the deck. You can elect to use stickers and just cover the bottom of the deck if you would like. This is sometimes the best option because when you get bored with the design, you can peel off the stickers. If you want to, you can simply draw the graphic on the deck or even just color it a different pattern.

  Let your marker dry if you chose to use marker. If you placed stickers over the entire board, you will have to use your knife to poke hole through the stickers where the screws should be. Once you do so, replace your trucks and tighten them with the screwdriver.
