Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take your piece of foam and mark the pattern with a pen. You will need four squares that are 10 inches by 10 inches and one large rectangle that is 14 inches by 20 inches. The foam should be about 3 inches thick. If your foam is not that thick, you can cut twice the amount needed and glue together the pieces.
Use a non-serrated blade to cut the foam pieces out. If you only have a box cutter, cut as deep as you can then keep going over the same cut until you have cut through the foam. The rectangle needs to be squared on one end and rounded on the other. Trim the corners off of one end and round off as you would like.
Take two of the squares and glue, with the hot glue gun, one on top of the other. This will be the seat for your chair.
Place one more square on the side of the seat and glue in place. Line the other square up to the other side and glue in place. Now the structure will look like a "U" with two squares, one on top of the other, and a square on either side. These are the arms for the chair.
Take the long rectangle and line it up with the seat so the rectangle is standing tall with the squared end behind the seat and the rounded end pointing up. The back should be flat with the bottom of the seat, and even with the outside edges of the arms. When everything is even and flush, glue the back to the seat and the arms.
Cover the chair with an inexpensive fleece blanket or other fabric for comfort.
