Instructions
Twist the top face of the cube so that it is at a 45-degree angle.
Work the tip of the pen under one of the middle side squares and pop it off.
Remove all of the remaining small cube pieces from the Rubik's Cube.
Choose one color and replace the center cubes on that color's face so that you have a cross. Do not replace the corner cubes yet.
Turn the cube over so that the cross is facing down, and put the corner pieces into place with the correctly colored side facing down so that it aligns correctly with the prepared face.
Place all of the cubes that go in the middle of the left and right columns for three faces of the Rubik's Cube. Place only one of the pieces for the fourth side.
Turn the Rubik's Cube so that the face that is missing a left or right center piece is facing you. Position the cube so that the gap that you left is the bottom upper right-hand corner of the Rubik's Cube. The uncompleted bottom face of the cube will be facing you.
Place the lower left-hand corner piece for the bottom face into place, then attach the center side pieces that are on either side of it to hold it into place. Replace the two corner pieces of this face whose bases are complete. You will have one corner left open.
Turn this face of the Rubik's Cube so that it is at a 45-degree angle. Slide and pop one center side piece into place in the open area. Turn the face in the opposite direction so that it has a 45-degree angle going the other way and slide and pop another center side piece into that open space. Twist the face back into place and carefully rotate the Rubik's Cube so that this face is facing left and the two remaining open spaces are facing up.
Put in the remaining corner piece, and then twist this face so that it is at a 45-degree angle. Slide and pop the final piece into place. Twist this face back into position to finish your Rubik's Cube.
