How to Tre-Flip on a Tech Deck

Tech Decks, or hand-held skateboards, can perform many of the same tricks as their big brother. Rather than using your legs and feet, you perform tricks using your fingers and hands. One such trick on the Tech Deck is the tre-flip or 360 degree flip. This trick involves rotating your deck 360 degrees in the air before bringing it back to the ground. The key is to allow the board only one rotation before regaining control for a successful tre-flip.

Instructions

    • 1

Position your fingers so that your index finger is on the flat portion of the deck, slightly up toward the nose. Place your middle finger on the tail of the deck, with the end of your finger creating a slight overhang.

    • 2

Move the deck forward with your hand to build up speed.

    • 3

Bring your middle finger down on the tail and toward the deck. Maneuver the middle finger as if you are about to scoop up the board, moving down and to the side.

    • 4

Bring the board up into the air with your middle finger. As the board rises, move your index finger up the nose and off the board. The momentum caused by the movement will flip the deck.

    • 5

Watch the deck as it rotates. After one rotation the top of the deck will be facing upward. Place your middle and index fingers onto the deck and guide it down. Don't press too hard or hit the edge of the deck, or you may lose control.
