How to Make a Paper Gun Easy

Gun-making, or gunsmithing as it is most commonly called, is an exacting art that takes a design and turns it into a finished weapon made of metal parts all working in concert together. You can make your own gun out of paper which, while not complicated, will serve the purpose of letting you pretend to aim at an imaginary target and shoot it. You just need paper, a few household items and a bit of manual dexterity to have your paper gun in no time.

Things You'll Need

  • Two sheets 8x10-inch white paper
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Cellophane tape

Instructions

    • 1

Put a sheet of white paper down on a table with the end facing you. Roll up the left side of the sheet of white paper over to the right side to form a tube. Tape the top and bottom and middle of the tube with cellophane tape.

    • 2

Put the second sheet of white paper down on a table with the end facing you. Roll up the left side of the sheet of white paper over to the right side to form a tube.

    • 3

Flatten the tube with your fingers.

    • 4

Measure two inches from the left side of the sheet of paper towards the right side using the ruler. Make a dot at the two-inch mark with the pencil. Repeat this procedure with the right side of the sheet of paper.

    • 5

Fold the left side of the sheet of paper in at a 90 degree angle at the pencil mark. Do the same with the right side of the sheet of paper. Smooth down the creases of the paper at the left and right sides with your fingers.

    • 6

Fold the left side of the sheet of paper over to the right side. Smooth the paper down to form the handle and trigger for your paper gun.

    • 7

Tape one end of the tube of paper to the end of the sheet of paper that is now the gun's handle using cellophane tape. Pick up your paper gun by the handle and fire at any imaginary target you want.
