How to Make an Airsoft Gun Out of Paper

An airsoft gun uses a spring to propel a small pellet from its barrel to a target. You can make an airsoft gun out of paper and a few items found in most households. The barrel of the airsoft gun will be made out of paper, but the mechanism that fires the pellet will be similar to what is used in commercial airsoft guns. The airsoft gun you make will fire a pellet at a target just as effectively as an airsoft gun bought at a store. Follow a few easy steps to start hitting those targets and having fun.

Instructions

    • 1

Roll up the construction paper into a tube. Hot glue the seam of the construction paper. Let the glue set. Use the utility knife to cut the tube into two halves.

    • 2

Insert a BB pellet into one end of the tube. Hold the BB in place with the pliers. Hot glue around the BB pellet to seal around the tube so that the hole is only as big as the BB pellet. Let the glue set. Remove the BB pellet.

    • 3

Unscrew the pen and dispose of the front part and the inside pen parts. Put the spring from the pen aside. Make a small hole in the middle of the back part using the utility knife. Insert the screw into the hole. Hot glue around the screw. Let the glue set.

    • 4

Cut a channel in the top of the tube with the utility knife. Insert the spring into the open end of the tube. Insert the back part of the pen with the screw in it into the open end of the tube. Put one end of the other tube over the end of the tube that has the pen in it. Hot glue the end of the tube over the other end of the tube.

Put a BB pellet into the open end of the tube. Aim the airsoft gun you have made out of paper at a wall and pull back on the screw to engage the spring and fire the BB pellet out of the tube.
