Things You'll Need
Instructions
Press with the index finger on the center and middle finger in the middle of the board. Using just these two fingers stabilizes the board for a variety of tricks.
Spin the board by holding firmly on the back of the deck while pushing it with your finger in the middle of the board. This trick is known as "shove it".
Push firmly on the rear of the board with your index finger to lift the nose into the air.
Stabilize the front of the board with your middle finger so that it comes back down smoothly. The "ollie" trick uses just these two moves. You may practice this with a ramp or rail until you can jump over any area with relative ease.
Lift your board using the "ollie" and bring the nose down so that the wheels rest just behind a rail or edge. The "nose grind" can be used anywhere you have a lip to place your deck.
Use the "ollie" and land on one side of your board to "side grind" along rails and other surfaces.
Land your deck from an "ollie" with the wheels on either side of a rail, lip, or overhang to grind down with a "forward grind."
