Place the Nerf toy gun on its side on a table. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove all of the screws from the side and from the bottom of the hand grip. Remove the side of the Nerf toy gun and lay it aside.
Remove the spring and the three-prong air restricter connected to it. Discard them. Take the portable drill and cut out the center of the restricter part that was was lying in front of the three-prong air restricter.
Remove the latch spring from the back of the Nerf toy gun where the trigger is. Put it aside. Remove the spring and plunger assembly that is in front of the latch spring and put it down on the table. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw in the plunger's head. Put newspaper under the spring and spray it with a household lubricant.
Use the portable drill to enlarge the hole at the end of the plunger rod and also in the plunger head. Reassemble the spring and plunger assembly into the Nerf toy gun. Use the No. 49 spring to replace the latch spring removed earlier.
Remove the barrel from the Nerf toy gun. Cut the barrel in half with the utility knife. Hot glue the the back half of the barrel to one end of the CVPC pipe with the ring of the barrel half facing outward. Insert the restricter part̵7;s rod into the other end of the CVPC pipe and hot glue it flush to the pipe.
Screw the end of the spring and plunger assembly to the restricter part using the 3mm screw. Replace the spring cover over the spring and plunger assembly. Hot glue the end of the spring cover so that it covers the spring cover and the end of the CVPC pipe.
Reassemble the Nerf toy gun. Put a Nerf dart in the end of the CVPC pipe. Cock the spring and plunger assembly. Press the trigger to fire the Nerf dart farther than it could go before.
