How to Make a Nerf Gun From Normal Household Items

Nerf guns are excellent toys but they must be powered by batteries or a spring to fire off a Nerf dart. A Nerf blowgun not only delivers a Nerf dart to your target effectively, but it never runs out of power since your breath is all that is needed. A Nerf blowgun can be made from a few household items and the assembly process takes less than 30 minutes.

Things You'll Need

Newspaper
11x14 inch piece of paper
Paper straw
Cellophane tape
Utility knife
Nerf dart

Instructions

  Put the newspaper down on a work surface. Roll the piece of paper up into a thin tube. Put a Nerf dart in one end and adjust the tube̵7;s size so that the Nerf dart fits snugly.

  Tape the tube closed using pieces of cellophane tape at each end and at the middle. Remove the Nerf dart and put it aside.

  Make a small incision at the back end of the tube on one side using the utility knife. Insert the end of the straw into the incision.

  Put cellophane tape around the straw and incision. Pinch the end of the tube where the straw is located. Tape the end of the tube so that it remains closed.

  Insert the Nerf dart about halfway down into the open end of the tube. Aim the Nerf dart at a target. Take a deep breath and blow out through the straw to launch the Nerf dart from the Nerf gun that you made from household items.
