Keep Your Tamagotchi Happy
If you hope to have your Tamagotchi grow into adulthood, then your first task is to keep a watchful eye over your virtual pet while it grows. Once you activate your system, three eggs will appear onscreen. Without input, these eggs will hatch into your first Tamagotchi family. Any time a member of your virtual family needs attention, the device will beep and one of two icons will be highlighted. The first is the "Training" icon located on the bottom left of the screen. This will light up when your Tamagotchi need you to play games will them. Press "A" to highlight the "Games" icon and press "B" to begin one of four games. Note that as your Tamagotchi grow up, more games will become available, including one designed for Tamagotchi fathers and one for mothers. The more you play with your pets, the happier they will become, and the higher their bond rating will be with you. Always keep this rating at 100 percent to avoid sad pets or untimely deaths.
Aside from having fun with your pets, you'll need to take care of their daily needs. When the "Attention" icon on the bottom right of the screen lights up, you will have to choose whether to feed or clean up after your Tamagotchi. Avoid overfeeding your pets, as they can become overweight and sick. Always use the "Toilet" icon to clean the screen as soon as your pets make a mess to avoid a dip in happiness or your bond rating.
Connecting With Friends
Tamagotchi Connection allows users to connect two devices together so friends can have their virtual pets play games together and even get married. You can connect devices by having each person choose the "IR Connection" menu icon. If you try to have your Tamagotchi marry right away, you may notice that one or both pets will refuse the marriage. In order to ensure the marriage takes place, participate in games with one another to strengthen the bond of the Tamagotchis. Also note that you will have two choices when you select the marriage option. The player who chooses "Give" will give up his Tamagotchi to his friend, while the "Accept" choice will add the new Tamagotchi into the family. Once you have two Tamagotchi marry, they will produce eggs that will hatch into new Tamagotchi. You can have up to 50 friends with your Tamagotchi Connection, so choose different friends to make new types of Tamagotchi.
Tamagotchi Website
Don't just use your Tamagotchi Connection with other devices; use the "Special" function on the device to connect to the Tamagotchi website. When you select this option, you'll be given a login number. Enter this number onto the main Tamagotchi website. The site will give you new items and foods for your Tamagotchi while expanding its digital culture. When you have finished, enter the logout number into your device. This will return your Tamagotchi back home.
