Things You'll Need
Instructions
Order any Tech Deck parts that you wish to use for you newly created deck. You can find parts in stores that sell Tech Decks or online. Purchase whole decks if you wish to take them apart and reuse their pieces.
Gather together your new parts as well as spare Tech Decks that you no longer are using. Take apart these decks with your Tech Deck screwdriver and divide the parts into the following groups: decks, trucks, wheels and grip tape.
Assemble the wheels and trucks based on your selections. Attach two wheels to each truck by pushing them into place. You can use multiple colors, but make sure the wheels on each truck are the same shape and material to prevent uneven movement.
Attach the trucks onto your deck using the Tech Deck screwdriver. Place a screw through one of the eight holes on the face of the deck and into the truck positioned below. Rotate the screwdriver clockwise until the screw is securely in the truck. Repeat with the additional screws.
Practice a few tricks and runs with the newly attached trucks and wheels. If the movement feels odd or your trucks are too tight or too loose, adjust the screws until you are comfortable with the feel of the deck.
Apply the grip tape onto the face of the deck. You can opt to use tape specifically made for the deck or scrap tape bought from a skate shop.
Decorate the underside of your deck with stickers or use paint makers to tag the board with words and drawings.
