Instructions
Make note of how each knob controls the drawing stylus inside the Etch A Sketch. Twisting the left knob will move the stylus horizontally while the right knob moves it vertically.
Move the stylus to the far left of the screen and position it one fourth of the way up from the bottom. Shake the Etch A Sketch to remove any existing lines or drawings.
Draw a horizontal line from the left side of the screen to the right. This will act as the base of the machines in the arcade.
Move the stylus slightly to the left and then draw a vertical line upwards until it is one fourth of the screen away from the top.
Twist the left knob counter-clockwise to move the stylus horizontally towards the left until you have created a line roughly half the size of your horizontal line. Draw a vertical line downwards from this spot until you reach the horizontal base-line.
Retrace the vertical line until you are halfway up the rectangular box you have created. Bring your stylus slightly out to the left of the box, then upwards the same distance, over across the box itself and outwards on the other side. This horizontal rectangle is creating the control console of the arcade machine.
Move the stylus to the left side of the horizontal rectangle, stopping before you reach the end of your arcade cabinet. Draw a cross by creating two small rectangles that intersect on the control console. This is the control stick for the cabinet.
Trace over the horizontal rectangle until you reach the right side of the control console. Here you will draw a smaller horizontal rectangle and then divide it into three smaller sections, creating the buttons of the arcade console.
Move back to the top of the control console and position your stylus slightly before the vertical line on the right side of the cabinet. Move the stylus upwards and stop before you reach the top line. Now move towards the left of the machine, stopping before you reach the end and then downwards to the control console. This creates the screen.
Trace over the perimeter of the arcade machine until you reach the lower half of the box. Here you can name your arcade game. When you twist the knobs simultaneously you will create curves with the stylus, allowing you to use cursive to title the arcade game.
Move down to the base line and over to the left to create your next arcade cabinet. Repeat until you've filled your arcade with games.
