How to Play With Teck Decks

Tech Decks are miniaturized skateboards, called "fingerboards", which are used to perform tricks on flat surfaces. Tech Deck players can make use of any area with a flat surface including table tops and walls. Players use the decks for emulating full size skateboard techniques and can purchase small skateboard park equipment including rails and half-pipes for their Tech Decks. A line of toy accessories for the toys is also available, known as Tech Deck Dudes, that allows players to add small riders to their fingerboards.

Instructions

    • 1

Press firmly on the tail and center of the board with two fingers. This is the "neutral" position for the decks and is the basis for most Tech Deck tricks.

    • 2

Accelerate your deck by moving it forward with your two fingers. Speed is necessary for forward momentum and maintaining control of your deck for leaps.

    • 3

Apply pressure to the rear of the deck to flip it upwards.

    • 4

Use your second finger to level the deck. The "ollie" trick uses just these two moves, but can be advanced further by techniques used in landing the board.

    • 5

Land your "ollie" so that the board rests on the side of a rail or edge using its nose or side for a "grind".

    • 6

"Ollie" up to the top of a rail or other narrow piece, and center the board on the rail to "center grind" and slide down to the bottom.

    • 7

Add Tech Deck Dudes to your decks to create more impressive feats and tricks.
