Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off the power switch on the toy helicopter and hold the copter upside down.
Unscrew the Phillips-head screw that holds the battery cover in place. The cover will lift out on two plastic tabs. Save the cover and the screw.
Carefully lift the battery pack out of the compartment so it is attached only by two wires leading to a plug inside the helicopter.
Detach the battery pack by pulling on the two plugs to release them from the power jack inside the toy helicopter. Take this battery pack with you to an electronics store or specialty battery shop for a replacement, or order a new battery online. Have the model number of the battery or the brand and model of your RC mini helicopter handy when ordering online.
Insert the 4-prong plugs on the new battery pack into the power jack inside the RC mini helicopter. The plugs fit in only one direction, so do not attempt to force them in.
Insert the battery pack into the compartment, taking care not to put any pressure on the two wires connecting it to the toy.
Replace the battery cover and screw it in securely.
Charge the battery if necessary.
