Characters
There are an assortment of different LEGO Star Wars Droid Battle Packs, but they all come with different droid characters. Begin construction by putting the characters together first; just snap the upper body and legs together. Then you can snap weapons into the hands of the droids. These will be handy to make first because they will keep your small child busy long enough for you to finish the ship construction.
Separate the Pieces
Pour out the contents of the LEGO box onto a hard surface, such as a table or floor. Do not dump the pieces onto a carpet because the smaller pieces can easily get lost in the shag. Spread the pieces out so you can see what you have. Keep the smaller pieces closed in their plastic bags until it's time to use them (usually toward the end of construction). This will keep them from getting lost.
Building Instructions
Although there are several different Droid Battle Packs you can build, they are all assembled in a similar way. To begin, the instructions booklet will have you take the largest piece and attach a few pieces to it. There will be no words in the instructions, just pictures. Follow the steps exactly before moving on to the next step. Skipping ahead because you can't locate a piece right away will back fire, because eventually you will have other pieces snapping over it. Follow the steps until you have completed the construction. You may have a few pieces left over, but this is normal because LEGO typically gives a few extra of the most used pieces, just in case one or two are lost.
