How to Make Soap Bubbles

Playing with bubbles is a fun way for kids to spend a summer afternoon. You can by a pre-made bubble solution, but it often comes in small bottles and the bubbles don't always stay together very well. Making your own soap bubbles is an easy, economical project that you can do with your kids.

Things You'll Need

  • Bucket
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Water
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Glycerin
  • Large spoon

Instructions

      Fill a bucket with one gallon of water.

      Add 2/3 cup of liquid dish soap to the water.

      Mix in 3 or 4 tbs. of glycerin.

      Gently stir the mixture with a large spoon.

      Let the mixture sit in the container overnight for longer lasting bubbles.

      Make bubble wands by bending pipe cleaners or wire coat hangers into a circular shape, dipping them into the solution and blowing them or waving them through the air.
