Things You'll Need
Instructions
Choose a top side for the tire swing. Flip the tire over and drill several drainage holes in the bottom so the tire swing do not fill with water when it rains. Flip the tire back so the top is facing you. Drill three evenly spaced holes on the top of the tire.
Tighten a nut as far up as it will go on the threads of an eyebolt, then add a fender washer. Slide this threaded side down into one of the holes on the top of the tire. Add another fender washer then another nut on the inside of the tire. Tighten with a wrench. Repeat in the other two holes.
Put an S-hook into each eyebolt, and close the hook with the wrench. Put a three to four foot section of chain onto the opposite side of each chain hook, and close this side. Gather these three chains, and connect them with an S-hook on their free ends. Close the hook with the wrench.
Open the connector link, and attach the swivel and the clip hook. Close the connector link. Connect the swivel to the S-hook on the chains. Close the hook.
Drape a long section of chain evenly over a strong tree branch or the swing set. Clip both chain ends into the clip hook.
