Instructions
Activate Tekno by pulling out the tab on its side. This causes Tekno's setup program to initiate automatically.
Learn where all of Tekno's sensors are. The sound sensor is inside its head and the mouth sensor is on the outside of its mouth. There are sensors on the tip of Tekno's nose, the top of its head and the back of its neck.
Learn what Tekno's sensors do and how to use them. Tekno's sound sensor lets him recognize and react to voices and noises automatically. Touch a bone to Tekno's mouth sensor to feed him. Its nose sensor serves two purposes: touching it will cause Tekno to start sniffing and will let it know if it is getting too close to walls or furniture. Tekno's head and neck sensors react to affection, such as patting it on the head or scratching behind its ears.
Press Tekno's "Mode" button to go through its preprogrammed tricks.
Program Tekno to speak, fetch, howl, talk, laugh, sing and dance. Press and hold his head sensor until you hear a beep, about three seconds, to make it speak. Press and hold its neck sensor for three seconds, until you hear a beep, to make it fetch. Program Tekno to howl by pressing and holding both the "Mode" and head sensor button until you hear four beeps; then press Tekno's head sensor again to confirm. To make it talk, press and hold the "Mode" and nose sensor buttons until you hear four beeps followed by "Thanks." Program Tekno to laugh by pressing and holding the "Mode" and nose sensor buttons until you hear four beeps, followed by "Thanks." Teach Tekno to sing and dance by pressing the "Mode," nose sensor and mouth sensor buttons until you hear four beeps. Press the "Mode" button again and wait for the confirmation beep.
