How to Do Astrojax Tricks
Hold the top ball with one hand, directly below the bottom ball, which is grasped in your other hand. Rotate your top wrist to spin the middle ball horizontally. Drop the bottom ball, located at the top, and swing it to the bottom, keeping the rotation of your top hand steady. Both the bottom and middle balls should be orbiting horizontally.
Perform a vertical orbit in a similar manner. Hold both end balls in one hand, with the middle ball hanging down. Drop one end ball, while tugging at the hand-held end ball to get the free end ball to orbit perpendicular to the horizon.
Execute a "butterfly" by starting with a vertical orbit. Instead of moving your hand holding the free end ball up and down, move it from left to right. The free moving end ball will start to move in a figure-eight pattern.
To perform a "Venus", start with a smooth and rhythmic vertical orbit. Move your wrist into the path of the orbiting end ball, and it will pass over your wrist, and the middle ball will follow shortly after.
Perform a solid horizontal orbit. Grasp the string close to the end ball you are holding, and toss the ball horizontally. Allow enough room for the top-most end ball to be orbiting smoothly. This is called the "Atom."
