How to Repair a Trampoline

Trampolines are great fun for the whole family. They are also fantastic for staying in shape. Trampolining is a good form of cardiovascular exercise. When a trampoline is damaged, it can be expensive to get someone to come out and fix it. Fortunately, most types of repairs are relatively simple. You can do the work yourself with basic tools and minimal effort.

Things You'll Need

Trampoline
Sewing machine
Springs
Trampoline repair kit (optional)

  If a spring is broken, you will need to replace it. Carefully measure the broken spring. The replacement must be the same length and width as the original. Slide the old spring out through the grommet hole. Slide the new one in its place.

  If there is a small hole in the trampoline, you can sew it up using a sewing machine. For larger holes (approximately 1-inch in diameter or more), you can buy specially designed patches.

  If the trampoline "hops" when in use, secure it to the ground with anchors and straps. These can be purchased from a trampoline parts store. Tie the straps to the edge of the trampoline.
