How to Build a Bionicle Creation

Bionicles are a type of Lego building system that Lego introduced in 2001. Bionicles are sold as specific kits which are put together to make one Bionicle. Lego has introduced a bucket of Bionicle parts that make building your own creation easy to do. Use pieces from any of these to design your own creation.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase Bionicle creation kits, or Bionicle tubs, which provide you with a number of different pieces to choose from for your creation. You can purchase these directly from Lego or through retailers.

    • 2

Design a creation. Choose a humanoid (human like) creation or a rahi (animal like) creation. Draw the creation on paper if you want a better idea of what it will look like. Free form design is more popular, especially if you are creative.

    • 3

Build the Bionicle creation's skeleton. The skeleton can be very simply but should include the body, legs, arms and the head, if your creation will have these features. Use any Bionicle parts for this part of the process. Larger parts hold together better than smaller ones, which gives your creation the strength it needs.

    • 4

Use smaller Bionicle parts to flesh out the body. Attach a Bionicle head or mask to the top. Add hands and feet with small parts you have available. To add depth to the body of the Bionicle, add more small pieces joined to the spine of your creation. There are no rules to building a Bionicle, so adding any pieces you like to the design is acceptable. Be as creative as you would like to be.

Prepare your Bionicle for battle by giving him some armor. Armor is available through the same creation kits or through any Bionicle sets you may have. Add armor such as an axe, shield or other weapons you may have. This armor doesn't have to match.

Check out your Bionicle. If he is complete, tighten any loose segments. Be sure he's proportional and bends easily. If not, adjust the pieces you've used. Then, play with him.
