How to Do the Eiffel Tower Yo-Yo Trick

The Eiffel Tower is an impressive yo-yo trick that ends up looking like a web of strings shaped like the famed French landmark. With practice, you'll impress everyone with this trick, which looks more complicated than it is. A trans-axle yo-yo works the best for this trick, as it is designed to spin for a long time.

Instructions

    • 1

Throw your yo-yo as you normally would in a sleeper throw.

    • 2

Make an "L" with your throw hand, letting the string rest on the thumb while the four fingers are pointing upward.

    • 3

Pull the string between your fingers and thumb with your non-throw hand. Use all four fingers of your non-throw hand as if you were pulling a slingshot between the fingers and thumb of your throw hand.

    • 4

Pull the string down with all 4 fingers. Stick the thumb and pointer finger of your non-throw hand through the loop and pinch the string hanging down.

    • 5

Pull that string through the loop while still pinching the string.

    • 6

Point the thumb of your throw hand down (which should be in a loop at this point) while your fingers are pointing across your body toward the string. Grab the string hanging down between the pointer and index finger of your throw hand, while pinching the string at the top with your non-throw hand.

    • 7

Stretch it all out so that it looks like the Eiffel Tower, while the yo-yo is still spinning in the sleeper position. Turn your hand to display it so that your audience can see.
