Instructions
Start with a strong downward thrust to get the yo-yo in a good sleeper position. The better and more substantial this first move, the more solid each successive move will be.
Use the index finger of your non-throwing hand, with forward pressure on the center of the string, to bring the yo-yo up to a point just under the index finger of your throwing hand. Let the yo-yo loop around the index finger of your throwing hand with a little forward pressure by that finger. This is the split-bottom mount.
Press forward with the index finger of your non-throwing hand, bringing that hand all the way around in front of, underneath and up behind the yo-yo, then keep going until that index finger goes over the index finger of your throwing hand.
Continue that rotation, in one fluid motion when you get enough practice, until the string threads itself again into the groove of the yo-yo at the front.
Adjust your hands so that they are each about 1 foot or so from the yo-yo, on either side of it. This sets the yo-yo up in the center of what is now a rotation as you move both hands around in complete, vertical circles, as many times as you wish until you want to dismount. You've then completed the Mach Five, to the amazement of family and friends.
