How to Watch InuYasha Movies

Though the InuYasha movies deal with a separate plot from their anime counterpart, the theatrical releases based on the InuYasha series have become wildly popular in their own right. Four feature-length InuYasha films have been made. The first United States release took place on September 7, 2004.

Instructions

    • 1

Get familiar with the InuYasha storyline. Not only do the movies deal with their own distinct storylines, but their release dates may also confuse new fans trying to sort out the real-life chronology of the series. The first movie was released in Japan in 2001, but didn't appear in the U.S. until 2004, and by the time the second movie was released in the U.S., the fourth and final film had already had its run in Japanese theaters.

    • 2

Watch the first installment of "InuYasha the Movie," known as "Affections Touching Across Time." As with all the titles, it is readily available from anime and hobby retailers, as well as larger video and book sellers, both in store and online.

    • 3

Proceed to the next title in the "InuYasha the Movie" series, "The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass." It was released in the United States on December 28, 2004 and is available on DVD with extra features of interest to fans of the series.

    • 4

Continue the movie series with "Swords of an Honorable Ruler," the third InuYasha movie to be released.

    • 5

Watch "Fire on the Mystic Island" to conclude the InuYasha series of feature-length movies.

    • 6

Use your computer, if you have a DVD drive or a digital copy of the movie file, or your regular DVD player to watch the movies.
