How to Clean Your FurReal Pet

It moves, reacts and sounds like a real pet but it's just a toy. FurReal pets are a line of toys produced by the Hasbro company. The company sells a variety of these toys including cats, dogs, birds, horses, chimpanzees and even hamsters. These toys act like real pets but are simply controlled by batteries and sensors. Like with other furry toys, FurReal pets may require a bit of cleaning to keep them looking like new. Groom the pets on a regular basis to deter stains but be sure to clean stains if they do appear.

Things You'll Need

2 soft cloths
Soft brush
Comb

Instructions

  Groom longer-haired pets like the Go Go My Walkin' Pup with a comb to brush through any tangles.

  Use the grooming brush if one came with your pet. For example, the FurReal Butterscotch Pony comes with a specialized grooming brush. However, if the pet does not come with a specialized grooming brush like the Snuggimals line of pets, just use a soft, lint-free cloth or brush. Gently run the cloth or brush along the fur of the animal to get rid of any dirt.

  Remove the batteries and turn off the pet.

  Wet a clean cloth with water and ring it out so it's slightly damp.

  Wipe down any stains on the FurReal pet with the damp cloth.

  Dry the pet with a clean dry towel or let the pet dry before reinserting the batteries.
