Utilize a Beanie Bay authentication service. You can locate a list of recommended services on websites, such as eBay and About Beanies. In selecting a reputable service, consider the length of time the service has been in business. Ask the prospective authenticator how many Beanie Babies she has evaluated. Also ask for customer references. Check the Better Business Bureau for any complaints filed against the business.
Fill out a submission form. The authentication service will provide you with this form. The type of information needed on the form includes such things as the number of Beanie Babies you need authenticated, the Beanie Baby name(s), tag generation and estimated value.
Send your Beanie Baby to the authentication expert. Make sure you include the submission form along with the appropriate fee. The fees may varying depending on the which authentication service you use.
Obtain the Certificate of Authenticity. Once the Beanie Baby passes the authentication inspection, a Certificate of Authenticity is attached to it. The certificate includes information such as the authentication date, style number, Beanie name and the examiner's signature. Your Beanie will be returned to you along with the certificate in one to two business days
