How to make Party Meatballs

Party meatballs are tasty treats that are eaten as part of a party platter. Often they're featured with toothpicks poked through them for ease of grabbing at a tailgate party or other event. Knowing how to make your own delicious party meatballs doesn't require that you be an expert in the kitchen, but your party guests will surely think you are.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 1/8 cup minced garlic
  • 1/8 cup cooking sherry
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 14 inch skillet (deep)

Instructions

      Add the uncooked ground beef to a 4 qt. mixing bowl.

      Add the onion, garlic and cooking sherry to the bowl.

      Crack a large egg into the bowl. Add the breadcrumbs.

      Mix the contents of the bowl with your bare hands, thoroughly.

      Roll about 2 tbsp. of the mixture between the palms of your hands to create a single meatball. Repeat this until the mixture is gone.

      Add the olive oil to the skillet and put it on the stove on a medium-high heat. Add the meatballs. Cover and cook for four minutes.

      Remove the cover and flip the meatballs over. Cook for an additional four minutes. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the pot again. The cooking sherry will release from the meat, and the alcohol will evaporate and leave a tasty glaze over the meatballs.
