Pool Toys That Are Expensive

When trying to maximize the amount of fun you can get out of your swimming pool for you and your family, bigger is better, and bigger often means more money. Extravagant pool toys won't be very friendly to your pocketbook, but they turn summer days spent at the pool into unforgettable experiences.
  1. Water Slides

    • There are few things more enjoyable when it comes to swimming then a water slide. The simple concept of slides has long been enjoyed by children; the addition of sliding into water increases the pleasure. In 2011, simple models of water slides could be purchased for anywhere from $800 to $3,000, but giant deluxe models can cost more than $13,000.

    Inflatable Landscapes

    • Inflatable landscapes provide soft, slippery fun for rolling and tumbling around in a pool. The iceberg from Aviva Sports is one such example and measures at 14 feet long and carries a price tag of more than $6,000. A 7-foot iceberg is also available for around $2,300. Large inflatable planets and rocks can be had for just under $2,000.

    Rafts

    • Rafts provide the perfect way to enjoy the sun while gently floating on the surface of the water. Most rafts are cheap, inflatable mattresses, but there are pricier options. A Pillow Top Pool Mattress will run you $89.99 while a Foam Aqua Hammock costs just shy of $100. An even more expensive raft is the Ultra Sunsation Foam Pool Float at $199.99. There are definitely options for those who want to spend some extra money for an enhanced pool raft experience.

    Tubes and Lounges

    • Tubes and lounges are basically larger versions of rafts designed for multiple people or rougher play. These larger accommodations are reflected in their price tags. An inflatable, floating sofa can be had for approximately $180, while a 13-foot floating trampoline can cost you $1,700. On the slightly cheaper side, $150 will get you a floating luxury cabana complete with sunshade and room for two.

    Water Guns

    • Water guns are more fun with a nearly inexhaustible ammo supply and this makes them perfect additions to a pool party. The Hasbro company has long been known for their Super Soaker products with the Super Soaker Hydro Cannon currently being the most expensive at $24.99.

Another option is the Galaxy Fighter Super Squirter Set, which is a combination inner tube/water cannon. There are various types of these combination toys that cost between $70 and $80.
