Things You'll Need
Instructions
Find a dense piece of Styrofoam. Use a craft knife to cut two rectangular pieces from the Styrofoam. Each piece should reflect the size of your desired pool tray.
Place a soda can on top of one of the rectangular pieces and trace the bottom of the can on the piece using a pencil. Repeat the process along the piece, tracing as many soda can bottoms as you want your pool tray to hold. Cut the circles out of the Styrofoam piece and dispose of them.
Heat a glue gun. When the glue gun is ready, use it to glue the cut piece of Styrofoam on top of the uncut one. Make sure to apply glue to both the cut and uncut pieces of Styrofoam before attaching them to each other. Let the glue set, harden and dry.
Line your pool tray's top rim with strips of foam at least one inch thick. Secure the pieces to the rim using your glue gun. A rim lined with foam helps guard against accidental spills.
Decorate your tray with non-toxic paints and markers. Personalize your pool tray by writing your name on it or drawing on it.
