Enhance Your Workout With Water Running
Choose the right aqua jogger for you. Aqua joggers come in several different sizes and style to accommodate different body shapes and weights. They are available in both men's and women's styles. Browse through a site like Nextag to see the different options you can choose from (see Resources below).
Get into the water and go deep enough so your feet don't touch the bottom. The aqua jogger will keep you afloat.
Start your work out walking briskly until you get used to the sensation, then work up to a run.
Run as if you were on land trying to keep in proper form and running at a consistent cadence. Water running is much harder than running on land because of the water resistance, so it takes practice to get good at.
Use aqua jogger accessories such as aqua jogger dumbbells to increase the intensity of your workout. They can be used like free weights while you run to help strengthen the arms and upper body. Aqua jogger dumbbells can also help with balance while you run.
