How to Make a Homemade Stuffed Animal Without Sewing

Design a plush stuffed animal that requires no sewing at all, and repurposes old and worn out gloves. Turn your homemade stuffed animal into a muscle-relaxing aromotherapy tool by filling the doll with reheatable dried beans and essential oils. For a holiday-inspired stuffed animal, fill a glove with a holiday print or festive colors. Add a hand-tied bow using ribbon to turn your stuffed doll into a gift for a child, such as for a stocking stuffer.

Things You'll Need

Adult-sized cotton glove
1 lb. cotton stuffing
Rubber bands
2 large googly eyes
Hot glue gun

Instructions

  Push the thumb of an adult-sized cotton glove into the glove. Flip the glove inside-out and wrap a rubber band around the base of the thumb to close it off. Flip the glove so the outside is facing out.

  Stuff the middle two fingers of the glove with cotton stuffing until the fingers are filled snug. Wrap a rubber band around the outside of each finger at the base of the fingers to secure the stuffing in place. Add a rubber band to each of these stuffed fingers around the middle of each finger to form a knee for the stuffed animal̵7;s legs.

  Fill the remaining two fingers with cotton stuffing until they are at the desired fullness. Wrap a rubber band around the base of each finger to hold the stuffing inside.

  Fill the palm area of the glove within 3 inches from the wrist-end of the glove with cotton stuffing. Add enough stuffing to create a stomach for the stuffed animal. Secure the top of the glove, leaving 3 inches at the end unstuffed and unsecured, with a rubber band.

  Stuff the opening of the top of the glove to create the stuffed animal̵7;s head. Fill to the desired fullness and wrap a rubber band around the glove at the top of the head.

  Attach two large googly eyes to the front of the head using hot glue to complete the stuffed animal.
