Instructions

    • 1

Cut a 6- to 8-inch long rectangle strip out of your first fabric or felt color. Depending on the desired final size, make your rectangle strip about 2 to 3 inches wide. This piece will be used for your UFO̵7;s top, the flight cabin.

    • 2

Cut two round pieces from your second color of felt or fabric that are at least 7 inches in diameter, making them bigger if your rectangle strip is longer than 6 inches. These pieces will be sewn together and stuffed to form the disc body of your flying UFO.

    • 3

Cut out five or six small circles from your third felt or fabric color that are about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter. These circles will be sewn onto the spaceship̵7;s body to add colorful decoration.

    • 4

Twist your rectangular fabric strip into a cone, holding it into place. Sew it together, using a simple running stitch, starting at the tip of the cone, working all the way down the edge of the strip.

    • 5

Stuff the cone full of doll stuffing, full enough to firmly hold the cone shape. The bottom of the cone will be open, so momentarily hold the stuffing into place.

    • 6

Sew the cone to the middle of one of the large circle pieces, making sure the stuffing doesn̵7;t stick out. Sew the small circles around the outer edge of the sewn on cone.

    • 7

Sew the second large circle, your final fabric piece, to the bottom of the first circle, leaving a small hole about 1 inch wide.

    • 8

Insert stuffing into the circular body of the UFO, and finish sewing it up.
