How to Wash a Ty Beanie Dog

When Ty Beanie Babies were all the rage in the late 1990s, some people -- mostly adults -- were fastidious in keeping their animals in mint condition; kids will be kids, though. When dealing with a soiled Beanie Baby dog, however, all is not lost. While washing the toys in the washing machine is okay, the company recommends washing them with warm water and gentle soap in order to protect their eyes and noses from damage.

Instructions

    • 1

Fill up a bowl or other small container with warm, soapy water.

    • 2

Rinse your dog in the lukewarm water, scrubbing gently at any stains or crusty buildup the fur has collected. Some collectors recommend using a soft toothbrush to rub debris from the fur.

    • 3

Wring your dog out gently when you are finished washing it.

    • 4

Set the dog on a dry towel and allow it to air dry.

    • 5

Fluff and smooth its fur out with your fingers to restore the original texture.
