How to Build a Limited Edition Bear

Build-A-Bear Workshop is an international company with franchises in malls and other popular shopping districts where children and adults can build and customize their own bears and other stuffed animals. In this workshop-like store, customers choose a stuffed animal, then clothing, shoes, accessories and can even add embroidery, music or a personalized message. Frequently Build-A-Bear also offers limited edition bears and other animals that you can build at their workshops or even online. Past limited edition bears have included "Ice Cream Bears," and "Smallfrys." Keep in mind the limited edition stuffed animals often change.

Instructions

  Choose a bear or animal shell from the limited edition rack or table. Normally, the limited edition display is near the front of the store or in plain sight.

  Take the shell to the next station, where a Build-A-Bear employee stuffs the limited edition bear or animal to your liking. You can choose to stuff the bear firmly or leave it more floppy. Before an employee sews up the bear, you can put a charm inside as well as record a popular song or even your own voice onto a sound device, which plays when you squeeze the bear.

  Pick an outfit for your animal from a wide variety of clothing options, including shirts, pants, shoes, hats, skirts and more. You can also choose accessories such as sunglasses, backpacks and even beds or chairs. You can find matching clothes and accessories for your limited edition bear in the bins, but you don't have to choose these.

  Create a birth certificate for your bear at the next station, where you can give it a name and write down its birthday. After this, you can pay for your limited edition bear or animal.
