Things You'll Need
Instructions
Use a stencil to outline an alligator shape. Alternatively, you can draw the alligator freehand if you wish. The size of the alligator should be a bit larger than the actual size of the toy you want. Cut the shape out.
Double up on your choice of fabric and lay the paper cutout onto the fabric. Pin the cutout to the fabric if needed and cut the shape out. Take your straight pins out. You should have two alligator fabric shapes at this point.
Pin the two pieces together right-side inward using several straight pins. Use a sewing machine (or you can hand stitch, if you prefer) to sew the two pieces together, leaving a 3" opening for stuffing.
Remove the straight pins and turn your alligator right-side out. Make it and Love it suggests using the end of a pencil to get all of the little legs and corners turned out.
Stuff the toy with plenty of batting, making sure to get it in all the nooks and crannies of the toy before hand sewing the small opening up with a needle and thread.
