Instructions

    • 1
Cut a rectangle out of the flannel fabric.

Cut a 7-inch by 21-inch rectangle out of the flannel fabric.

    • 2
Press the folds with the iron.

Lay the fabric out with the wrong side facing up. Fold over both short edges 1/2-inch and press the folds with the iron.

    • 3
      Stitch the folds in place.

Stitch the folds in place, sewing 3/8-inch away from the folded edges.

    • 4

Lay the fabric out with the right side facing up with the short edges at the top and bottom.

    • 5
Pin the side edges to secure the fabric.

Measure up 7 inches from the bottom edge and fold the bottom edge up at this point. Pin the side edges to secure the fabric. This will be the bag portion of the sleeping bag where you will place the Beanie Baby.

    • 6

Measure down 3 inches from the top edge and fold the top edge down at this point. Pin the side edges to secure the fabric. This will be the pillow of the sleeping bag.

    • 7

Sew the side edges of the 3-inch fold and the 7-inch fold using a 1/2-inch seam allowance.

    • 8

Turn the sleeping bag right side out and press the sleeping bag with the iron.

    • 9

Fill the 3-inch fold with enough fiberfill to turn it into a comfortable pillow for the Beanie Baby.

    • 10
      Thread the needle.

Thread the needle with an 18-inch length of thread. Pull the thread through to make a double length of thread on the needle and tie the ends of the thread into a knot.

    • 11

Hand-stitch the bottom edge of the pillow, using small overhand stitches. Tie a knot when you finish stitching and clip off the excess thread to finish.
