2005 Furby Instructions

Furbys are electronic, interactive toys for kids, distributed in 1998 by the Tiger Electronics company. Children interact with the Furby through commands, and the toy is eventually weaned off of its original language, Furbish, and learns English. As long as you have the right equipment and know the proper commands, the Furby is easy to set up and use.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the batteries into your Furby. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on the battery door on the back of the Furby. Insert two batteries negative-end first on the top row, and insert the other batteries positive end first into the bottom row. Use the screwdriver to reattach the Furby's battery door.

    • 2

Set the Furby's "On/Off" switch to "On" to activate your Furby.

    • 3

Encourage physical responses from your Furby by touching certain points on its body. You can rub its back, tickle its stomach, and tilt it from side to side. Additionally, if the Furby indicates it is hungry (by opening its mouth and holding that position), you can feed it.

    • 4

Talk to the Furby by saying "Hey Furby" and waiting for a response. You can speak a variety of commands such as "Tell me a story," "sing me a song," "do you want to play," "show me a dance," or "tell me a joke."

    • 5

Tell the Furby to "Go to sleep" to put it to sleep. Switch the Furby's "On/Off" switch to "Off" when you want to turn it off.
