How to Build Your Own Teddy Bear

Teddy bears and other stuffed animals can be built at specialty stores in malls across America. These stores have an interactive process that allows customers to build a customized teddy bear during their visit to the store. Many of the stores that allow you to build your own teddy bear offer a variety of outfits, themes and accessories. Building your own teddy bear can be a fun experience and a great way to create a personalized gift for someone.

  Select a bear. The bears come in a variety of sizes, colors and price ranges.

  Stuff the bear. You can stuff the bear at the stuffing machine by having an employee place the bear on the nozzle while you use the foot pedal to control the flow of the stuffing. Give your bear the "hug test" to make sure that the bear is as firm or soft as you want it.

  Add one of the optional sound boxes or charms to your bear's stuffing if you'd like. Some stores offer heart, star or angel "wishes" that you can include in your bear.

  Have a store employee close your bear.

  Choose outfits and accessories for your bear if desired.
