Things You'll Need
Instructions
Select a pattern for your plushy bunny. Several websites with free patterns are listed in the Resources section below, but you can also find patterns at craft and sewing stores and by searching online yourself.
Select the fabric for your plushy bunny. Your bunny can be covered with flowers, sport a gingham check, match your new curtains or be your daughter's favorite color. If your plushy bunny is going to be a child's toy, select sturdy and easily cleaned fabric, like cotton. You can even make this toy out of use old t-shirts or other clothes that your child loves, but has outgrown.
Cut out the material for the bunny's shape based on the pattern you are following. Lay out the fabric shapes with the inside of the material facing out, and pin them together for sewing.
Sew the pieces of the bunny together around the edges. Allow for small openings for stuffing. You can sew by hand or by machine. Sew the safety eyes into place. When you have the pieces finished except for the small openings, turn them right side out.
Stuff the bunny parts with any kind of hypoallergenic quilting fill or batting. If you want your bunny a little plumper, add more fill than you would for a lean rabbit. Sew the openings shut. You can add whiskers, a nose and other details with embroidery floss. Check the pattern to make sure you have followed all of the instructions.
